WB 23.5.22
As part of our Jubilee celebrations, we used inspiration from artist Andy Warhol to create some 'popart' theme digital art work. We selected a picture that reminded us of the Queen and then used the Ipad programme keynote to sketch, colour and duplicate the pattern.
WB 16/5/22
Year 6 had a brilliant week this week with our theatre workshops and our trip to The Brindley to watch ‘murder, mystery and mayhem’. We had a visitor from the theatre company earlier in the week where we took practised some famous lines from the play and we got to join with these at the Bradley on Thursday. Our children, as always, were a credit to us.
This week, we were so excited to hear about the arrival of the chicks in EYFS. Friday afternoon was spent visiting them in Reception.
WB 7/2/22
This week we have been learning about our mental health during Children’s Mental Health Week 2022. We understand where we can seek support from and have been exploring ways that we can keep our minds healthy. We have painted positivity rocks to share with our local community. Our work will be showcased in Halton Lea shopping centre over half term and then will be placed in the planters around school. The children enjoyed painting their rocks and feel very proud of their work.

WB 31.1.22

This week, year 6 have been taking part in a royal inquest into the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt in the story of Romeo and Juliet.

We gathered our evidence of the tragedy, formed our judgment on who was to blame and then wrote our own formal speech to perform to the jury.

Children produced some brilliant work and we definitely have some lawyers in the making.

W.B 17.1.22
We have had a busy week this week but wanted to share our PE lessons.  We are learning skills in Rugby.  We have been learning how to hold, carry, pass and catch the rugby ball.  We have been playing team games and they are so much fun.
WB 10.1.22
What a brilliant drama workshop this week! On Monday, we had a visit from AS creatives where we explored the story of Romeo and Juliet. Children took part in a range of different drama activities - they were brilliant. We definitely have some up and coming actors in Y6.
WB 22.11.21
Y6 have been busy carrying out market research in Design Technology this week. We have tried a variety of breads available and evaluated their texture, taste and appearance.
We will be using this knowledge to bake our own bread in the next few weeks so watch this space.
You should be reading at least 3 times a week.
Children who read 5 times a week will get put into our weekly prize raffle!
