Rowan 2017-2018

Welcome to Rowan Class!
In Rowan Class, we find reading very important and we all aim to change our reading books regularly. Our reading records will be checked randomly to check that we are reading at home, as this is essential in helping us to progress! Parents please encourage your child to read their books and please sign to say you have listened to them read.
We also think that it is important to know all our times tables and we will have time tables tests each week. It is important that we can recall our times tables and corresponding quickly and fluently. Our parents/carers can help us at home by testing us and asking us random times tables at any time throughout the day.
Homework - Our homework will be given out on a Thursday and will be due back in on a Monday.
PE - We have outdoor PE on a Tuesday and we have indoor PE on a Thursday.
Many Thanks,
Miss Roberts and Mrs Phillips

What are we learning about?
The Anglo-Saxons!
Look at our new Anglo-Saxon names...
In computing we are learning about how to be safe on the internet! Watch this space for our upcoming posters...
What have we been getting up to?
Tig came to visit us on Friday afternoon while we were learning about Light! Tig loves chasing shadows so Miss Roberts shone a light, then we blocked the light with different things and Tig chased the shadows! We can't wait until Tig comes back to see us!
