PE
This half term, your child will need to wear their PE Kit for school every Monday and Friday. This half term the children will be doing gymnastics and ball skills.
Please remember no jewellery can be worn and long hair must be tied up.
 
Homework
 Maths and a Reading Comprehension will be assigned on Seesaw every Friday and will need to be completed and uploaded by the following Wednesday.If homework is not submitted your child will have to complete it during their lunchtime.
Each week a spelling list will be uploaded on Seesaw, for a test every Thursday. 
                                       Life Cycles
 Pear class enjoyed sorting the life cycles of a frog and plant during their science lesson. We know that a life cycle is the journey from beginning to the end. 
 
 
               The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebration 
We all had a wonderful day today celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. We made party hats, played games, ate scones with cream and even had a visit from the Queen herself! 
                                   Runcorn Hill Visit
As part of our science topic, Investigating plants and animals in their natural habitat, Year 2 visited Runcorn Hill. Everyone had great fun identifying trees by looking closely at the shape of leaves, and finding mini beasts. We even enjoyed a game of hide and seek! 
                                       Computing 
Pear Class have really enjoyed their computing sessions  this half term by using algorithms to move the  Beebots! 
                                        PE
   Anyone for a game of tennis? Next stop Wimbledon!
Class Read
As part of our English Curriculum we have been reading the story, 'The Minpins'. We did lots of writing based on this book about a miniature population living high up in the woodlands!
African Thumb Pots

This half term we have been looking at sculpture and famous sculptors. We experimented with different techniques using playdoh before designing and sculpting our very own African thumb pots, in the style of Ladi Kwali, in clay.
                             Design Technology 
Look at all the fabulous vehicles we made in Design Technology.I think we may have some future engineers!
